METHOD OF DESIGNING DENTAL CROWN AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING DENTAL CROWN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental crown for implanting considering the shape of the jaws of a patient based on a CT image of the patient. SOLUTION: The method of designing the dental crown to be disposed in a defect of a tooth is the method using a computer including an input means, an output means, a storage means and an arithmetic operation means. The storage means includes an acquisition step of acquiring a three-dimensional composite image having the upper/lower jaw joints, maxillary dental arch and mandibular dental arch of the patient. The arithmetic operation means includes a disposition step of disposing a three-dimensional dental crown image in the detect of the tooth in the three-dimensional composite image, a detection step of detecting a contact region of the three-dimensional dental crown image with an opposing tooth by occlusion of the maxillary dental arch and mandibular dental arch in the three-dimensional composite image, a detection step of detecting a contact region of the three-dimensional dental crown image induced by the sliding of the upper and lower jaw joints with the opposing tooth, and a removing step for recording and displaying the jaw movement trajectory of the opposing tooth as an FGVP (functionally generated virtual path), and removing the contact region from the three-dimensional dental crown image.
