HEAT PUMP TYPE AIR CONDITIONER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat pump type air conditioner capable of quickly performing defrosting without supplying cold air into an air-conditioned room and without being affected by an ambient air temperature. SOLUTION: This heat pump type air conditioner comprising an air supply flow channel 4 from an outside air inlet 2 to an air supply opening 3, and an air return flow channel 7 from an air return opening 5 to an exhaust opening 6 in a casing 1, and switching a cooling operation and a heating operation to the air-conditioned room by circulating a refrigerant from a compressor 14 to an air supply-side heat exchanger 9 disposed in the air supply flow channel and an air return-side heat exchanger 12 disposed in the air return flow channel 7 in order of the air return-side heat exchanger and the air supply-side heat exchanger or in the reverse order, further includes a drain pan 20a disposed at a lower part of the air supply-side heat exchanger and a humidifier, a water storage tank 21 for storing the water, and a water supplying means 24 for removing frost generated on the air return-side heat exchanger by supplying the water stored in the water storage tank to the circumference of the air return-side heat exchanger in the heating operation.
