description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin welding method which can surely prevent the occurrence of damage caused by an excessive heat input in a region to be welded. SOLUTION: Since the sectional shape of laser beams L perpendicular to an optical axis OA is annular in the laser beam incidence side end part R1 of the region R to be welded, the occurrence of damage (bubbling, clouding, firing, etc.) by an excessive heat input in the irradiation region central part of the laser beams L in the laser beam incidence side end part R1 of the region R and its vicinity is prevented. Since the laser beams L diverge in the region R, the excessive heat input into resin members 5 and 6 are suppressed, and the resin members 5 and 6 are melted properly in the entire region of the region R.
