Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-vehicle observation apparatus having an optical system for combining an imaging optical system and an auxiliary optical system. SOLUTION: The in-vehicle observation apparatus 10 is constituted of: a front-end optical system 3F including the imaging optical system 2 for imaging an external space RO through a windshield W, and cooperated with the auxiliary optical system 3 so as to image an observation plane Wb of the windshield W, and an imaging element 5 for converting an image formed by the imaging optical system 2 into an image signal, in which the auxiliary optical system 3 including at least a light source 331, and a collecting optical system 332 for collimating a light from the light source 331, and totally-reflecting a collimated light on an observation plane WB; and a back-end optical system 3L having at least one positive refractive power, and guiding the collimated light reflected by the observation plane Wb to the imaging optical system 2. A back side focus of the back-end optical system 3L is matched with a position of an entrance pupil of the imaging optical system 2. A front side focus of the back-end optical system 3L is positioned in the vicinity of a plane contacting the observation plane Wb of the windshield W. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
