SOLUTION: A member which holds the developing roller of the process cartridge apart is provided at a position opposite to the photoreceptor drum with respect to a center of oscillation. Further, a removable protective cover is attached to the process cartridge, and a projection of the protective cover is inserted between the photoreceptor drum and a development frame supporting the developing roller.
