CAPACITOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitor with high reliability by decreasing a local heat generating portion of a capacitor element. SOLUTION: The capacitor has two capacitor elements 11 and 12 formed by winding metallized films having metal vapor-deposited electrodes formed on dielectric films and providing lead-out electrodes 11a and 11b, and 12a and 12b at both end portions thereof, a cylindrical exterior case 13 containing the capacitor elements 11 and 12, an exterior case lid 18, electrode terminals 18a and 18b provided to the exterior case lid 18, and connection terminals 14 and 15, and 16 and 17 connecting the capacitor elements 11 and 12 to the electrode terminals 18a and 18b, the two capacitor elements 11 and 12 being connected in parallel. The two capacitor elements 11 and 12 differ in electrostatic capacity, and the capacitor element 12 having smaller electrostatic capacity between the two capacitor elements 11 and 12 is disposed at a position far away from the electrode terminals 18a and 18b.
