description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure the protection of an edge of a laminated core of a stator assembly having the laminated core and allow an insulator to be press-fitted always accurately in the laminated core while reducing the size and cost of a motor. SOLUTION: Projections 24 and 26 each lower than a difference between the height (H) of a protective wall 22 and the thickness (t) of a laminated core 12 are formed at a position at which the floor surface of a plate 20 is in contact with part of the bottom face of the laminated core 12. On an insulator 18, gaps corresponding to the projection of the projections 24 and 26 are formed between the floor surface of the plate 20 and the bottom face of the laminated core 12. The gaps serve as clearance spaces for shavings generated when the wall surface of the protective wall 22 of the insulator 18 is scraped off by the edge of a projecting portion 12a of the laminated core 12 upon press-fitting the insulator 18 from axial one side face of the laminated core 12. The insulator 18 is always press-fitted in the laminated core 12 in a normal state. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
