description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ruler for hammering and a pile material hammering method which can improve accuracy of hammering a pile material. SOLUTION: While vertically guiding the pile material 2 using the ruler 1 for hammering, provided with a pair of first guide frames 20 installed between a plurality of first receiving materials 13 of a support part 10 and holding the pile material 2 between them so as to be slidable along the hammering direction of the pile material 2, and a pair of second guide frames 30 installed between a plurality of second receiving materials 14 of the support part 10 and holding the pile material 2 between them so as to be slidable along the hammering direction of the pile material 2, the pile material 2 is hammered into the ground by a vibrating pile driver 3, such as a vibratory hammer and the like. Thereby, the pile material can be slidably held at two points along the lengthwise direction of the pile material to surely prevent deflection of the pile material during hammering by the vibrating pile driver.
