description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyimide resin bond grinding wheel having higher heat resistance and mechanical properties. SOLUTION: In the grinding wheel obtained by compressively forming a composition including binder resin and abrasive grain, the binder resin is polyimide particle having a number average particle diameter of 0.1 to 9 μm. Polyimide powder is useful as a binder constructing a grinding wheel composition formed of diamond and metal powder and has excellent grindability. A grinding tool, when aromatic series polyimide is used as abrasive binder, exhibits excellent abrasive layer formability and abrasive adhesiveness, thus very stably achieving excellent grinding wheel performance.
