SOLUTION: This multi-piece golf ball is provided with a core 5, an intermediate layer with one or more layers and a cover, and at least one layer of the intermediate layer is a reinforced intermediate layer containing organic short fibers. The core includes a spherical body part 51 and a plurality of ribs 52 formed on the surface of the body, and the intermediate layer fills recessed parts 53 surrounded with the ribs.
