description | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stopper with a cap which is employed for cutting/dividing work of a covered overhead wire and can prevent falling-out of the covered portion and also prevent dangers caused by exposure of a core wire, with a limited number of components, and can reduce labor in the fitting work. SOLUTION: The stopper 1 with the cap includes a main body 2 having a fixed grip part 21, a movable grip part 3 driven reciprocally relative to the fixed grip part 21, a screw shaft part 4 connected to the movable grip part 3 and screwed with the main body 2, an operation part 5 for operating the screw shaft part 4, and a sheath part 6 fixed to the main body 2 so that the opening 66 faces the grip space between the fixed grip part 21 and the movable grip part 3. The stopper 1 with the cap is mounted to the core wire 11 at the cut end of the covered overhead wire 9, and the operation part 5 is rotated with a remote bar to drive the movable grip part 3 to the fixed grip part 21 side, causing the outside surface of the core wire 11 to be clamped between the movable grip part 3 and the fixed grip part 21. Thus, the stopper with the cap can reduce the number of fixing components as compared with a conventional separated cap and stopper, and can facilitate the fitting work.
