Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copper tube for a cross fin tube type heat exchanger having superior surface quality and insertability. SOLUTION: This copper tube 1 for the cross fin tube type heat exchanger 3 is composed of a cross fin tube formed by integrally assembling the copper tubes 1 and fins 2 by inserting the copper tubes 1 composed of copper or copper alloy into cylindrical collar sections disposed on the fins 2 composed of aluminum or aluminum alloy. A surface of the copper tube 1 has a film composed of a carbon compound having carbon content at the surface calculated on the basis of the intensity of C-Kα ray, of 1% or more in wavelength analysis of C-Kα ray by an Electron Probe Micro Analyzer method.
