SURFACE TREATMENT METHOD AND SURFACE TREATMENT DEVICE OF MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently remove dust adhering to both surfaces of a magnetic recording medium having high cleanness, and to provide a treatment method of preventing re-adhesion of dust. SOLUTION: In a first method, when at least matters adhering on the surfaces of a magnetic recording medium are collected using an adhesive tape, the magnetic recording medium is interposed between a plurality of rolls in contact with the magnetic recording medium via the adhesive tape, the adhesive tape is run by rotating the rolls, the magnetic recording medium is moved to the rolls or the rolls are moved along the surfaces of the magnetic recording medium to collect at least the matters adhering on the surfaces of the magnetic recording medium by the adhesive tape. In a second method, when at least the matters adhering on the surfaces of the magnetic recording medium are collected using the magnetic tape, the magnetic recording medium is rotated around its central aperture part and the rolls are brought into contact with the surfaces of the rotated magnetic recording medium via the adhesive tape to collect at least the matters adhering on the surfaces of the magnetic recording medium by the adhesive tape.
