description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless frequency identification (RFID) tag using a monopole antenna. SOLUTION: An antenna structure is located on a metal plate 41, and two edges of a RFID 43 are electrically connected with the antenna structure, thereby, a loop structure is formed with the antenna structure and RFID chip. Since the RFID tag 4 can be located on a surface of an object to be measured or can be located in the inside holding space of the object to be measured, the RFID tag can be widely used for various applications. Moreover, since the RFID tag is easily manufactured, its production cost can be reduced. Then, the RFID tag is large in a readable distance, and the electromagnetic radiation direction of the RFID tag can be adjusted in accordance with an included angle between the metal plate and antenna structure. Whereby, two desirable effects of easy signal read and improved identification ability can be obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
