Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel sheet for a high strength and high toughness line pipe having excellent ductility. SOLUTION: The steel sheet for a line pipe has a chemical composition comprising, by mass, 0.03 to 0.12% C, 0.05 to 0.9% Si, 0.50 to 2.50% Mn, ≤0.02% P, ≤0.005% S, 0.005 to 0.100% sol.Al, ≤0.009% N and ≤0.005% O, and in which the value of äC+(Si/30)+(Mn/20)+(Cu/20)+(Ni/60)+(Cr/20)+(Mo/15)+(V/10)+5B} satisfies 0.15 to 0.22, and the balance Fe with impurities, has a microstructure composed of a mixed structure of ferrite having a Vickers hardness of ≤190 and a hard structure, and has a tensile strength of ≥590 MPa, and whose Charpy absorbed energy at -20°C is ≥100 J.
