Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glucose dehydrogenase having salt tolerance, wide pH stability, intrinsic substrate specificity and intrinsic coenzyme dependence, to provide a technology for mass producing the enzyme by an genetic engineering technique in which a gene encoding the enzyme is isolated and the enzyme having objective physicochemical properties is obtained as a recombinant and a saccharide sensor using the properties of the enzyme. SOLUTION: The protein is (a) a protein containing an amino acid sequence composed of a specific sequence or (b) a protein containing an amino acid sequence in which at least one modification selected from deletion, substitution, insertion and addition of one or a plurality of amino acids is carried out.
