ORIGINAL HOLDER AND IMAGE READER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an original holder which easily performs an operation that arranges and sets a plurality of originals in a small size on a platen, is easily stored and is not damaged while it is stored. SOLUTION: In a holder body (56) provided with original attaching parts (57), such as pockets for holding a plurality of original sheets, the front surface side (55A) of the holder body (56) is formed to be a flat surface of uniform optical characteristics, which covers original sheets placed and set on the platen (3) from the above, and the original attaching parts (57) such as the pockets for holding the plurality of original sheets are formed on the rear surface side (55B). The holder body (56) is configured so as to select the front surface side and a rear surface side to be locked so that the front surface side or the rear surface side of a platen cover (5) of an image reader can be brought into contact with a platen surface.
