ENDOSCOPE WASHING AND DISINFECTING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent imperfect disinfection caused by a contact of an endoscope with a plane portion of a top cover. SOLUTION: The endoscope 10 is immersed and disinfected in an antiseptic solution 83 stored in a washing tub 31. The inner face section 64 of the top cover 37 has a plurality of projections 66 projecting to the inside of the washing tub 31. The inner face section 64 comes into contact with the antiseptic solution 83 stored in the washing tub 31 to be disinfected along with the endoscope 10. An insertion section 11 of the endoscope 10 is superposed to become possibly higher than the depth of the washing tub 31 and come into contact with the projections 66. The contact area between the endoscope 10 and the projections 66 is small so as to prevent the disinfection of the endoscope 10 from being disturbed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
