CARBONIZING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbonizing apparatus continuously and effectively obtaining a high quality carbonized material using organic materials such as vegetation. SOLUTION: In the carbonizing apparatus, a raw material is carbonized by superheated steam in a carbonizing tank 10 in a state that a non-oxygen condition is kept. The carbonizing tank 10 comprises a carbonizing part 11 for carbonizing an upper layer and a cooling part 31 for cooling the carbonized material in a lower part, across a rotary plate 20 connected to a rotary device 50. The carbonizing part 11 has an infrared heater 14 and a superheated steam supply means for carbonizing the raw material charged to the upper surface of the rotary plate 20 from a supply means and a transfer means for transferring the carbonized material to the cooling part 31. The cooling part 31 has a steam supply means for cooling the carbonized material sent from the carbonizing part 11 in a state that the non-oxygen condition is kept and a collecting means for collecting the cooled carbonized material.
