description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner achieving reduction in staining due to defective abutment of a blade against a photoreceptor and liberation of external additive from a toner particle. SOLUTION: The nonmagnetic toner is used in an image forming method comprising: a process of transferring a toner image on a photoreceptor onto an intermediate transfer body; and a process of cleaning the photoreceptor while abutting an elastomer blade against the photoreceptor at a set angle of 20 to 25° with respect to a tangent on the surface of the photoreceptor at a point of abutment where the elastomer blade abuts against the photoreceptor, wherein the toner includes toner particles and silica fine particles and satisfies the following relations: 2.0≤A-B≤12.0, 75.0≤B≤90.0, where light transmittance when the wettability of the toner for methanol/water mixed solvent is measured by using wavelength light of 780 nm is denoted as (A) and light transmittance in methanol concentration of 45 vol.% when ultra-sonic vibration of 46 kHz, 65 W is applied to the toner for 5 min is denoted as (B).
