Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-vehicle image processing apparatus capable of emphasizing an important body in an image in a reduced image and obtaining a less-distorted reduced image, and an in-vehicle image display device that displays the image. SOLUTION: Images of rear parts of both sides of this vehicle are acquired from side rear cameras (S100), and restriction points (the horizon, a straight line extending from a vanishing point, or a lane sectioning line) for not distorting straight lines during image reduction are extracted. Further, restriction points (a vehicle, a vanishing point of a white line, an area of one of infinite points in both rear directions of this vehicle, and its swing suppression direction) for not distorting a swing suppression area in the image are detected (S105). Then an image energy image is generated (S110). Further, Seam obtained by connecting parts where image energy is equal to or smaller than a predetermined value via restriction points set in the image is calculated, and the Seam is deleted to generate the reduced image (S115).
