description | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the capacitance values of varactors by detection systems smaller in number than that of the varactors, in an inertia sensor which has a plurality of movable bodies to be displaced by an inertial force, detects the capacitance value of the varactor formed by each movable body, and detect the inertial force. SOLUTION: The inertia sensor has a detecting pulse signal application portion for applying detecting pulse signals of a plurality of phases having predetermined phase differencies, to one-side ends of the individual varactors and the fixed capacitance element respectively, and an inertia detection portion for detecting the differences in capacitance value among the varactors applied with the detecting pulse signals having the phase differences, and between the fixed capacitance element and the varactors, to detect the applied inertial force on the basis of the differences, in a structure having a plurality of variable blocks which vibrate reciprocally in predetermined directions where the varactors are formed, and a fixed block where the fixed capacitance element is formed.
