TORSION TESTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torsion tester for adjusting the height of a fixed-side holder without using a sensor, etc. for detecting the length of a specimen. SOLUTION: This torsion tester includes a turning-side holder 3 for holding a lower end part of the specimen 2, the fixed-side holder 4 for holding an upper end part of the specimen 2, a servomotor (torque loading means) 5 for loading torsional torque on the specimen 2 via the turning-side holder 3, a torsion detector 6 for detecting output torque of the specimen 2 with the torque loaded thereon by the servomotor 5, a lift table 20 supporting the fixed-side holder 4 so that it can be moved up or down, a lifting mechanism 30 for moving the lift table 20 up or down, and a slide height adjustment mechanism 50 for adjusting the height of the fixed-side holder 4.
