IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a printing time more efficient in an image forming system using patch image generation by a plurality of hosts. SOLUTION: A network color CAPT printer has a configuration such that a plurality of hosts are connected therewith. The printer is configured, (1) to add a command to collect performance of each connected host (a frequency of a CPU and a memory mounting amount or the like), (2) to provide a storage means for holding the performance of each host, and (3) to execute a CPR with high-precision setting by making a remote CPR request to the host that is judged to provide the best performance when the CPR request of a CAPT is executed and setting that puts emphasis on image quality is performed, or to execute the CPR with normal setting by making the remote CPR request to the host that is judged to provide the best performance when setting that puts emphasis on the speed is performed.
