The output shaft 25 is placed behind the driven pulley shaft 80, the intermediate shaft 101 is placed above the output shaft 25 and the driven pulley shaft 80, and a kick shaft 123 of a start-up kick arm 122 is placed below the driven pulley shaft 80 and parallel to a crankshaft 40. A kick force transmission mechanism 120 for transmitting the power of the kick shaft 123 to the crankshaft 40 is placed on the side opposite, in the vehicle lateral direction, to a belt-type continuously variable transmission 70.
