PROCESSED PIGMENT AS WELL AS PIGMENT DISPERSION COMPOSITION, COLORED PHOTO-SENSITIVE COMPOSITION, COLOR FILTER, LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY ELEMENT AND SOLID IMAGE PICK-UP ELEMENT USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processed pigment excellent in the dispersibility, a pigment dispersion composition which has a pigment dispersed favorably, a colored photo-sensitive composition containing a pigment of good dispersion state, and besides to provide a color filter to give a high contrast, as well as a liquid crystal display element and a solid image pick-up element equipped with it. SOLUTION: The processed pigment is a pigment covered at least with a polyacetal resin expressed by general formula (1), wherein X1and X2each is independently hydrogen, a hydroxy group, a carboxy group or an aldehyde group; X1and X2may be the same or different; and n is an integer of from 10 to 2,000. The pigment dispersion composition, the colored photo-sensitive composition, the color filter, the liquid crystal display element and the solid-state image sensing device each uses the processed pigment.
