SOLUTION: In this scarf face machining method, when cutting an end of a board material 3 to a scarf face by a rotary cutting blade 5, at least a part of the surface on the side excluded at least as cutting wastes 17 from the board material 3 is pressurized with a pressing member 11 during the cutting operation with respect to the surface near the edge 5a of the rotary cutting blade 5 in the surface opposite to the surface that is on the downstream side in the moving direction of the blade 5 and is in contact with a blade table 7 of the board material 3.
