PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily acquire content data. SOLUTION: A data transfer device 31 makes a display part display the format designations of a plurality of transfer formats capable of acquiring content data by data acquisition devices 32A to 32N based on acquisition side format information, and makes a user select his or her desired transfer format, and stores selected format information showing the selected transfer format by associating it with device identification information. Afterwards, when the data transfer device is connected to the data acquisition devices 32A to 32N, the transfer device transfers the content data to the data acquisition devices 32A to 32N in the transfer format shown by the selected format information corresponding to the device identification information. Therefore, the transfer device makes the user select his or her desired transfer format once from among the plurality of transfer formats capable of acquiring the content data by the data acquisition devices 32A to 32N, and transfers the content data in the desired transfer format without making the user select anything afterwards, and makes the data acquisition devices 32A to 32N acquire the content data.
