description | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal panel wherein semiconductor devices or the like formed on a substrate can be prevented from being broken due to static electricity generated in a panel manufacturing step such as rubbing processing of an orientation film. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal panel 1 configured by sticking a first substrate 2 having gate lines, source lines, semiconductor switching devices, and pixel electrodes which are arranged like a matrix and a second substrate 11 opposed to the first substrate to each other through a seal material to form a space between both the substrates and sealing liquid crystal into the space; the first substrate 2 has a pixel area DA in which pixel electrodes are formed and a peripheral area PA surrounding the pixel area DA, an alignment film is formed in the pixel area DA, a common line 17 is laid in the peripheral area PA and a conductive film 18 is formed on the upper part of the common line 17 through an insulating film.
