Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinding wheel for gear grinding, which easily forms strain-free undercut portions after the heat treatment process, and also to provide a method for gear machining. SOLUTION: In the method for the gear machining including the steps of: gear cutting of a workpiece gear W; heat treatment process after the gear cutting step; and gear grinding by the grinding wheel T for the gear grinding, the undercut portions 3 are formed in dedendums 2 of the workpiece gear W in the gear grinding step by using the grinding wheel T for gear grinding having protruded portions 6 to form the undercut portion 3 in dedendums 2, which are located at both ends of gear tooth in the gear width direction.
