LIGHT-PROJECTING MODULE FOR VEHICULAR HEADLIGHT
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce weight of the whole light-projecting modules 1, 10, and 20 for a vehicular headlight having a plurality of semiconductor light sources 101, 102, and 103 for emitting light beams 104, 105, and 106, primary optical devices 110, 111, and 112 for focusing at least a part...

description | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce weight of the whole light-projecting modules 1, 10, and 20 for a vehicular headlight having a plurality of semiconductor light sources 101, 102, and 103 for emitting light beams 104, 105, and 106, primary optical devices 110, 111, and 112 for focusing at least a part of the light beams, and secondary optical devices 2, 12, 22, and 32 for light-projecting in front of a vehicle so as to make the focused light beams 113, 114, and 115 generate desired light distribution; and to raise flexibility of the formation. SOLUTION: The secondary optical devices are achieved as a compound lens of one or a plurality of sections having a plurality of lens segments 3, 4, 5; 13, 14, 15; 23, 24, 25; 33 to 41. At least one beam bundle of the beams focused by the primary optical device is assigned on each lens segment, the beam bundle is light-projected in front of the vehicle in order to generate desired partial light distribution of the beam bundle, and the whole light distribution of the light-projecting module is generated from overlapping of partial light distributions.
