A first layer 14 of external terminal electrodes 6, 7 has a wraparound portion 17 that is formed to wrap around from end surfaces 12, 13 to main surfaces 8, 9 and side surfaces of a capacitor body 3, and contains a compound oxide and a glass component that react with Ni or the Ni alloy. A second layer 15 formed on the first layer covers the first layer 14, while the edge of the wrap-around portion 17 of the first layer 14 is exposed, and contains a metal.
