description | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical D device (50) which reduces cross talk of focus (F) and tracking (T) control signals to a photodetecting signal and satisfactorily plays back a large-capacity disk (D). SOLUTION: The optical disk device is provided with an objective lens (3a3) converging a laser beam at D, a light receiving part (3a4) detecting reflected light and outputting a photodetecting signal (S4), F and T driving parts (8,9) driving the objective lens, a processing circuit (5) generating F and T error signals (S5, S6) from the photodetecting signal, a signal generating part (12) generating an F control signal (s1) and a T control signal (S2) and generating and outputting a control signal (S3) from the signals, and a drive signal generating part (2a) outputting an F drive signal (S9) and a T drive signal (S10) driving the F and T driving parts from the control signal, wherein the signal generating part has a demodulation part (13) which synthesizes a pulse modulation signal of the F control signal and of the T control signal in a time division manner to generate the control signal and generates an F control demodulation signal (S7f) and the T control demodulation signal (S8f) by demodulating this control signal, then the signal generating part generates the F drive signal and the T drive signal from both signals (S7f, S8f).
