Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that an electrolyte membrane is deteriorated when a scavenging time for scavenging treatment is determined in a fuel cell system. SOLUTION: This fuel cell system has a fuel cell, and the fuel cell has a laminate which is formed by laminating a membrane electrode conjugant having the electrolyte membrane and a catalyst electrode and a separator, a coupling part to couple the laminate in a laminating direction to laminate the membrane electrode conjugant and the separator, and a pressure sensor for detecting pressure which the laminate adds to the coupling part in the lamination direction. The fuel cell system is provided with a scavenging treating part for carrying out scavenging treatment and a scavenging time determination part which detects pressure from a pressure sensor, and based on the pressure, determines the scavenging time for scavenging treatment before the scavenging treatment.
