PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL, AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display structure without causing blackening deterioration in a high-temperature oxidation atmosphere, nor causing the problem of separation. SOLUTION: This plasma display panel includes: a front substrate and a back substrate arranged oppositely to each other, and having peripheral parts stuck to each other; electrodes formed on the front substrate; a dielectric layer formed on the electrodes; a protective layer formed on the dielectric layer; a black compound layer having openings on the protective layer; electrodes and a dielectric layer formed on the back substrate; barrier ribs keeping a distance between the front substrate and the back substrate; and a phosphor filled in spaces formed by the barrier ribs. The black compound layer is formed on the front substrate side when viewed from the barrier ribs, the black compound layer is formed with a mixture of glass and a filler comprising ceramics, and the glass is formed of phosphate glass containing a transition metal element.
