DESIGN METHOD AND PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily identify a design object contributing to a certain improvement effect in designing a new design object with reference to a design object such as a component or a device designed in the past. SOLUTION: The design method includes: a step of inputting input information on the design object; an attribute retrieval step 13 of retrieving the design object having similar attribute information from attribute information of the design object designed in the past and history of improved contents; an improved part acquiring step 15 of acquiring improved contents of the design object having similar attribute information retrieved from the history; and an attribute computing step 14 of computing the attribute information of the design object having similar attribute to obtain the design object whose improved contents have an improvement effect. In the improved part acquiring step, attribute information contributing to the improvement of the design object is acquired and reflected in the input information, and the history of the improved input information is stored.
