description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that an auxiliary operator is sometimes forced to maintain an unreasonable posture, because a leading position of a preliminary seedling stand is not set at a proper height depending on field conditions, the auxiliary operator's physique, etc., when mat seedlings are supplied near a levee. SOLUTION: The transplanter 1 liftably and lowerably supports a planting apparatus 20 with a seedling stand 23 in the rear of a traveling machine body 2. The traveling machine body 2 is equipped with a seedling transportation apparatus 30 capable of transporting seedlings to the rear of the traveling machine body 2 from the front thereof. The transplanter comprises: front and rear supports 31 and 32 capable of lifting and lowering the seedling and/or longitudinally and positionally changing transportation apparatus 30 with respect to the traveling machine body 2; an inclination sensor 11 which artificially presets the front and rear supports 31 and 32 in a prescribed positions and detects an angle of inclination with respect to the ground in the longitudinal direction of the traveling machine body 2; and a controller 50 which adjusts the front and rear supports 31 and 32 so as to adapt to a preset predetermined value without reference to the longitudinal inclination of the traveling machine body 2 on the basis on the detected value of the inclination sensor 11.
