SOLUTION: After video content obtained by a sensor 3 is encoded, content management information, such as photography time information from a clock 9, photography location information from a GPS unit 8 or camera identification information, is added and recorded in an optical disk 14 by a recording drive 10. When selection/regeneration of the desired video content from the optical disk 14 is carried out, the content management information is read from the optical disk 14 by a system controller 5 so that video image content selection scene is formed based on the information and displayed on a display unit 12. In this video image content selection scene, video content can be selected in an appointed range where photography time and photography place are specified and the change of this range is enabled, the range of photography time or photography place by which video content is chosen can be narrowed down.
