SOLUTION: An area judgement section 38 of a digital camera acquires a preview image and a preview image during pre-flash, and judges an area where difference between both images exceeds a threshold as an area irradiated by flash light. In addition, the area judgement section 38 acquires the preview image and a captured image during flash, and judges an area where difference between both images exceeds a threshold as an area irradiated by flash light, after resizing the preview image and comparing with the captured image.
