description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnostic apparatus in which the setting of a reference waveform can be changed readily, without excessively burdening both the manufacturer and the users. SOLUTION: An acoustic diagnostic apparatus 6 includes a table 65a for making a reference waveform and a control signal associate with each other. Because the acoustic diagnostic apparatus 6 changes the setting of the reference waveform on the basis of the table 65a, the setting of the reference waveform is changed readily, by merely changing the content of the description in the table 65a. The description in the table 65a is then based not on an original programming language of the maker, but on a language used for spreadsheet software. Accordingly, the user can readily change the setting of the content of description in the table 65a, and as a result, the setting of the reference waveform is changed readily.
