Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of computation for a plurality of laser power settings in OPC execution to reduce the memory area for holding the calculated result. SOLUTION: The laser power controller includes a plurality of automatic power control parts each including: a sample and hold circuit 21 extracting either one of a plurality of voltage levels to output it; an initial command value holding part 22 storing and outputting a command value corresponding to target laser power when recording data on a disk 1; a coefficient device 23 multiplying the command value output from the initial command value holding part 22 by a coefficient controlled to an optional value by being provided with a coefficient control signal, and outputs it as a conversion command value; a comparison circuit 24 comparing the extracted voltage level with the voltage level based on a conversion command value to output an output control signal based on the comparison result; and a control current output part 25 outputting a current controlled on the basis of the output control signal.
