description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a release device for an imaging apparatus, the release device being designed such that play is set by deformation of a third deforming section, and even when a third depression occurs after the deformation of a second deforming section, a third deforming section deforms and absorbs the third depression, thus making a camera shake less likely to occur. SOLUTION: When a switch main body 10 is depressed, a first film 17-1 deforms, and a first switch contact 11a on the underside of the first leg closes the first switch pattern of an electric substrate 20, so that a first release is turned on. When the switch main body 10 is further depressed, a second film 17-2 is deformed, a second switch contact 12a on the underside of a second leg closes the second switch pattern of the electric substrate 20, so that a second release is turned on. The second leg 12 and a central pillar-shaped section 16 are connected by a third film 17-3. Accordingly, even if the switch body 10 is depressed after the second release is turned on, the third film is deformed such that play for a stroke is caused to absorb strokes when the second and subsequent releases are turned on.
