INJECTION MOLDING MACHINE FOR TWO DIFFERENT MOLDING MATERIALS AND CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary mold platen which is replaceable for a standard mold, a movable platen and a platen drive means which can be operated with high precision and stability even during the rapid mold opening/closing operation of the rotary mold platen. SOLUTION: This injection molding machine 10 for two different molding materials has two sets of injection units 11 and 12 which can plasticize and injection-fill the mold with different resin materials respectively. In this machine 10, a mold clamping means is a hydraulic mold clamping means which can clamp three sets of die plates 2, 3 and 9 simultaneously and a movable die plate opening/closing means 14 is a movable die plate opening/closing means which is driven by an electric motor. Further, a rotary die plate opening/closing means 15 is a rotary die plate opening/closing means which is driven by the electric motor and a rotating means of the rotary die plate 9 is a rotary drive means which is driven by the electric motor mounted on a reversing table 7.
