description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a clogging of a discharge orifice without spewing out a discharge liquid. SOLUTION: An internal pressure of a printing head 20 is increased to such an extent that the discharge liquid 45 does not spew out of the discharge orifice 25 of the printing head 20, and the discharge liquid 45 is inflated toward the outside rather than the opening of the discharge orifice 25. Then the inflated portion of the discharge liquid 45 is sucked into the interior of the printing head 20. The highly concentrated portion A of the discharge liquid 45 which blocks the discharge orifice 25 is once moved to the outside of the printing head 20, and the adhesion of the portion A to the discharge orifice 25 is eliminated, causing the movement of the portion A to the interior of the printing head 20 by suction. As a result, the blocking condition of the discharge orifice 25 is eliminated without spewing out the discharge liquid 45. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
