The casting work is carried out by setting the length from the end surface of the exclusive use body 12 on the upstream side in the casting direction to the connecting pins 14dc to be 1.40 to 3.0 m. By the present invention, the variation of the level of the molten metal in a casting mold in the early stage of the casting work can be suppressed, and the surface quality of the cast slab can be improved, and the casting work can be stabilized.
