Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing hydrogen peroxide whose impurity content is small by an anthraquinone method. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing hydrogen peroxide is characterized by using a mixture where the molar ratio of anthraquinone having an alkyl-substituted group to tetrahydroanthraquinone having an alkyl-substituted group is 2:1-8:1 as anthraquinones in a working solution, by reducing all of tetrahydroanthraquinone and a part or all of anthraquinone in the working solution at a reducing step, by having a step that the content of anthrahydroquinone having an alkyl-substituted group in the working solution after the reducing step and before an oxidation step is held to be larger than that of tetrahydroanthrahydroquinone having an alkyl-substituted group and by that the total amount of ethylanthraquinone and ethyltetrahydroanthraquinone used as anthraquinones in the working solution is used in the ratio of 10-45 mol% to all anthraquinones in the working solution.
