PHOSPHATE-BASED DENTAL INVESTMENT MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphate-based dental investment material from which air bubbles in a kneaded sludgy mixture is easily removed in kneading a powdery mixture of a powdery refractory material with a phosphate-based binder by adding a kneading liquid, prevent formation of protrusions on the surface of a casted body and bring a conventionally required protrusion-removing operation after the casting to be unnecessary. SOLUTION: The phosphate-based dental investment material comprises a mixture of a powdery aggregate with the powdery phosphate-based binder and the kneading liquid. In the investment material, a silicone-based defoamer, e.g., a silicone oil such as dimethylpolysiloxane, methylphenylpolysiloxane, methyl hydrogen polysiloxane or the like is added to at least one of the mixture or the kneading liquid.
