description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw dehydrator which can secure a stable scraping function and a crushing function of a scraper without being influenced by an effect of a moving stroke of a back pressure member. SOLUTION: The screw dehydrator 1 comprises: an outer cylinder screen 2; a discharge area 3 for a material to be treated facing to a discharge opening 2a of this outer cylinder screen 2; a screw shaft 5 rotatably installed across the inside of the outer cylinder screen 2 and the discharge area 3 and attached with a screw blade 4; and the back pressure member 6 located at the discharge area 3 and movably and externally fitted to the screw shaft 5 so that the distance between the discharge opening 2a and it is variable, wherein a scraper 13 is attached to the screw shaft 5 so as to be located at the radially outside of the back pressure member 6, is integrally rotated with this screw shaft 5, wherein the radially relative position of the screw shaft 5 with respect to the back pressure member 6 is variable.
