Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mineral material fiber board having a low density and a high productivity, and excellent in sound absorbency, heat insulation and flame retardance, and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: This mineral material fiber board is characterized by consisting of 25 to 75 wt.% mineral material fiber, 5 to 50 wt.% inorganic light weight aggregate material and 2 to 18 wt.% binder as main components, and having a gradient density becoming a low density by going from its surface to reverse surface and 0.05 to 0.25 g/cm3mean density.
