HORIZONTALLY OPENABLE SHEET SHUTTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontally openable sheet shutter which is safe and takes up the minimum storage/operating space. SOLUTION: The horizontally openable sheet shutter 1 is formed of: a sheet assembly 3 which is horizontally slid to open/close an opening section; winding means 7 arranged on both right and left sides of the opening section, for winding sheets; and a rail 13 for guiding an upper side of the sheet assembly 3. The sheet assembly 3 has the two right and left sheets 4 arranged across an interval and connected together by an upper belt 5. When either the right sheet 4 or the left sheet 4 is located in the building opening section, the opening section is closed, while when the upper belt 5 is located, the opening section is opened. The sheet assembly 3 has a slipout prevention member mounted on an upper side thereof, for preventing the sheet assembly 3 from slipping out of the rail 13, and therefore the sheet assembly 3 is free from the risk of slipout from the rail 13 or downward sagging. The winding means 7 pull right and left upper ends of the sheet assembly 3 in mutually opposite directions, and therefore, impart tension to the sheets. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
